Introduction. The paper examines modern historicist discussions in education. purpose of the research is to determine specifics on historicism Education and show their influence transformation educational models higher Materials Methods. work implements integrated interdisciplinary approaches, comparative methods, perspectivist approach, dialectical method. article reviews analysis monographs papers published between 1990 2021 which address issues classical historicism, anti-historicism new Results. authors summarize main directions education devoted problems historicism. It pointed out that within framework these problematic discussions, intellectual history allowed sciences move away from linear contextual ones. productive features ‘new stories’ are highlighted: possibility discussing conflict interpretations a dialogue, taking into account multicultural mechanisms historical process, development critical thinking practical approaches. result rethinking transition theoretical orientation practice context current situation based past. allows combine several disciplines process. Conclusions. concludes extremely important for updating strategies structural renovation curricula. They lead teaching, requiring its adjustment, as well trajectories.
